In Spring 2017, Norristown made national news by hosting the Bill Cosby Trial in the Montgomery County Courthouse. Reporters from across the country traveled to our County Seat, and this had both a positive and negative economic impact on the area.

Join us as we hear from our panelists of local officials, business owners, and reporters to gain their perspectives and how the area was able to take advantage of the national attention, as well as what could have been approved upon. With reports that a second trial will be occurring later this year, hopefully the feedback received can be used to our advantage to put our local area into a positive light.

Panelists:

  • Dr. Val Arkoosh – Chair, Montgomery County Commissioner
  • Lee Soltysiak – Deputy Chief Operating Officer, Montgomery County
  • Sean Kilkenny – Sheriff, Montgomery County
  • Thomas Odenigbo – Public Works Director, Municipality of Norristown
  • Rich Clowser – Deputy Chief, Municipality of Norristown Police Department
  • Sandy¬†Ciccaglione – Sessano Cafe
  • Laura McCrystal – Reporter, Philly.com
